What is a Mobile Notary?
or what is a traveling notary?

A Mobile Notary is a notary public who travels from location to location to notarize documents for clients in person face to face. They bring along their notary stamp and other tools to ensure the notarization process is properly executed at the time of the signing.  Mobile Notary may bring a true copy stamp, a jurat stamp, or an embosser to take care of the client's needs. They may also bring other convenient items to help with the client's needs.

The Mobile Notary will be insured and bonded as required by the state as added assurance for the client. The Mobile Notary will charge a fee for traveling to the client requesting the service. This is the fee for convenience for the client. Some may find this fee worth their time instead of traveling to the office during business hours.

When a notary public is called to travel to a client's office, home, or other convenient location to have their documents notarized, the term used to describe this notary is a traveling notary or mobile notary.

Mobile Notary may travel to hospitals, courthouses, retirement centers, schools, colleges, jails and prisons, rehabilitation centers, family bar-b-que events, or company business events.

The service Mobile Notary offer is a valuable convenience for the public. Time may restrict clients from traveling to the office, lawyers' office, or package delivery store, and this is where a Mobile Notary can add that convenience to clients so they can get back to living their day-to-day lives.
